Cabbage Derby Day is an early ballhead cabbage. Good bolting resistance compared with other early types. Round, medium green heads.
Sow & Harvest Dates:
Sow outdoors Feb through March. Harvest June through August.
Growing Information:
Sow outdoors in a seedbed. Sow very thinly in 1.2cm drills in rows about 15 cm apart. As they grow, thin out to about to one plant every 10cm. Once the seedlings have 5 or 6 leaves, carefully transplant to final position (do not remove soil from roots when transplanting).
Water the seedlings in their seedbed the day before transplanting. Plant the seedlings in their final position with about 20cm between each seedling and each row.
