Where To Sow: Indoors: Sow in soiless compost in trays or small pots from April and maintain at a temperature of 25°C, cover with glass until germination takes place. Outdoors: Sow outside after mid-June.(Outside sowing is not advised in the North)
What To Do Next: Prick off into small pots when large enough to handle and reduce temperature to 20°C. Grow in a rich soil and water at midday when hot to allow the soil to dry before evening. Protect plants from frost. Grows well on windowsills during winter.
Handy Tip: Remove flowering shoots to increase the harvest of the leaves.
Nutritional Value: Very rich in vitamins A & K.
