Beetroot Chioggia is a traditional Italian globe shaped beetroot has dark green leaves and deep red stems. When sliced unusual red and white rings are exposed, adding an attractive element to the salad plate. Sweet taste. Suitable for use in salads or as a hot vegetable.

WHERE TO SOW:

For early crop sow February in seed trays, pinching a few seeds into 2cm drills.
Harden off and plant out with 10cm between seedlings. For maincrops sow March through June in 2cm drills, again 10cm apart, and thin out to 1 plant when seedlings reach 3cm. A good tip is to water well during dry/hot weather to avoid root going 'woody' and losing sweet flavour.
