Cabbage Flower of Spring is a very hardy variety producing large solid heads of good quality which should be ready for cutting in late April.

SOW:  July to early September

HARVEST: late March-May

WHERE TO SOW:

Sow the seed thinly in a well prepared seed bed in shallow drills 2cm deep. Keep well watered.

WHAT TO DO NEXT:

Thin out the seedlings as they appear to 5cm apart. When the seedlings are about 10-15cm tall, transplant to the growing site 35-40cm apart. Set the young plants 2cm deeper than they were in the seed bed.

HANDY TIP:  If you fancy ìspring geensî in late Autumn, try a June sowing and use as greens before mature heads are formed.
