WHERE TO SOW:
Sow thinly outside in a seed bed 1.5cm deep in rows 15cm apart.
WHAT TO DO NEXT:
Thin seedlings as they appear to 5cm apart. When the seedlings are 15cm apart, transplant to the growing site spaced at 45cm apart. Firm in well and keep watered in drought.
HANDY TIP: To store in winter pull the whole plant and suspend by the stalk in a cool airy place and they will last for several weeks. Also good for eating raw in salads or coleslaw.
NUTRITIONAL VALUES : Excellent source of vitamin C & B. The darkest leaves contain the most nutrients.
