Calabrese Volta allows you to extend the cropping season. It's a high yielding variety with tight beads. Volta has shown resistance to wet rot.

SOW:  April to June

HARVEST:  100-110 days later

WHERE TO SOW:

Sow the seeds 10 cm apart in lines which are 50cm apart. Cover the seeds with 2cm of soil. Calabrese does not transplant well, so do not use a seed bed.In dry weather, water well, particularly when soil is sandy.
Watering is very important when calabrese heads are forming. A good tip is to layet mulch around the plant bases (avoid touching the plants).
