Where To Sow: Sow thinly, 1cm deep in drills 30cm apart. Thin seedlings to 5cm apart when large enough to handle, to reduce risk of carrot root fly attack.
What To Do Next: Keep well watered for best quality roots. Keep any exposed crowns of carrots covered with soil to avoid them going green.
Handy Tip: Sow next to Onion White Lisbon which is effective at deterring carrot fly.
Nutritional Value: High in antioxidant beta-carotene which converts to vitamin A in the body.
