WHERE TO SOW:
Early sowings under glass in trays or modules at 16°C. Later sowings in a seed bed in shallow drills 1cm deep with rows 30cm apart.
WHAT TO DO NEXT:
Glasshouse sowings should be pricked off into trays 5cm apart or 12cm pots as soon as large enough to handle. Thin modules to one seedling per cell. Thin outdoor sowings to 10cm apart. When the plants are about 15cm tall harden off before planting out from mid May spaced at 45cm apart.
HANDY TIP: The large heads produced are ideal for separating into florets for storing in a deep freeze.
