WHERE TO SOW
Early sowings in trays under glass at 16ºC. Later sowings in pots or trays in a cold frame or unheated glasshouse.

WHAT TO DO NEXT
Heated sowings should be pricked off into trays 5cm apart as soon as large enough to handle, hardened off before planting in growing site 30cm apart. Outdoor sowings thinned before planting out in June.

MATURITY
October onwards.

HANDY TIP
When preparing for use, flesh will turn brown unless kept in a bowl of water with some lemon juice until required.
