Climbing French Bean Yardlong can grow up to 3 ft in length but are eaten when they are about 1ft. Great fun for kids to grow, but also very tasty if picked early.

SOW:  late May through early July.   Takes 8 to 12 weeks to mature.

HARVEST:  July through September  

WHERE TO SOW:

Sow in 5cm deep drills, one bean per drill, with about 15cm between drills and about 40cm between rows. It is a good idea to grow against a south facing wall. In cooler areas yardlong can be grown under glass or in polytunnel.
