WHERE TO SOW:

Sow 2 or 3 seeds into 7cm pot in a greenhouse at 20°C. Late May sowings can be made by placing 5cm apart direct into the soil or cold frame.

WHAT TO DO NEXT:

As soon as seedlings have produced 2 rough leaves prick out into individual 7cm pots. Gradually harden off before planting outside 60cm apart in late May/early June. Cold frame sowings can be gradually hardened off before planting out after all risk of frost damage has passed.

HANDY TIP:   Pick regularly to ensure that the plant continues to crop. Ideal for stuffing and baking.

NUTRITIONAL VALUE:   A good source of pro-vitamin A and vitamin C & E and folic acid.
