Description Packet Details

Herb Green Mint
Garden mint is easy to grow under almost any conditions and enjoys a shady aspect, so it is an ideal herb to grow in a north facing garden. Mint has a tendency to take over the garden so is best planted in a pot. The whole pot can be planted in the garden if required.
Plot Type:Outdoor plot, pots or containers
Class:Perrenial Herb
Where To Sow: Inside in a tray in soil-less compost. Cover with sieved compost and maintain at 20° C.
What To Do Next: Prick out into pots when large enough. Transplant outside into rich, moisture-retaining soil in sun or shade. Is one of the few herbs that prefers shade but will hold its own in full sun.
Handy Tip: Can be invasive, so best to sow in a container.
Nutritional Value: A very good source of Vitamin A, Vitamin C, Riboflavin, Vitamin B6, Calcium and Iron.
Companion Plants: Cabbage, broccoli & kohl rabi
