Sachets were traditionally made containing dried lavender and wormwood to protect clothing from moths.
Germinating Lavender is quite complex, but worth the effort.
Sow in trays of seed compost and keep in a warm place (between 15 and 20 °C. Just cover the seeds with compost and water from below.
It's important to seal the tray in a polythene bag after sowing and leave for 2 weeks. Then you need to place in the fridge (not freezer!) for 5 weeks. After which return to the warm place for 2 weeks. If germination does not take place, return to the fridge for 5 weeks. Germination can be a lengthy process!

Growing Instructions:
When seedlings are big enough to handle, transplant into their own pots. Grow on under glass, and plant out in the Spring with 25cm between each plant. Lavender enjoys full sun.
