Herb Purslane is an annual. The fresh young leaves can be eaten raw in salads or cooked like Spinach. Grows to a height of 20cm. An important medicinal herb historically.

Therapeutic History:  Used in ancient Greece for treating fever, menstral pain, tummy pain, hemorrhoids, and in healing of wounds, by Hippocrates, the father of medicine.

WHERE TO SOW:  

Best sown indoors year round, or outdoors only after last frost. Sprinkle the seeds onto the surface of potting composts and gently push into the surface with flat of your hand. Leave the seeds uncovered. Successional sowings are a good idea.
Keep well watered.

Germination takes about 12 days. Once seedlings emerge, thin to about 1 plant every 10cm.
