Herb Rosemary, as well as being used for seasoning, is a decorative perennial evergreen shrub with grey-green pinnate leaves. It grows to a height of 30-60cm. Used for seasoning.

WHERE TO SOW:

The best time to sow the seeds is mid-May. Use potting compost, and leave in sheltered position in the garden or under cover. The theme here is to patience, as seedlings can take up to 3 months to emerge.

PLANTING ON:

Rosemary likes a light soil and will even do well in a sandy soil. Rosemary does not like wet conditions, so good drainage is essential. Originally a Mediterranean plant, it prefers sunny and sheltered spots.
