Herb Winter Savory has a stronger more pungent flavour than Summer Savory. Small purple to almost white flowers in the axils of the leaves. Height 20- 30cm.

SOW:  March through July in a bright location with well drained/sandy soil.

HARVEST the young leaves all year round. Keep woody stems cut back.

WHERE TO SOW:

Savory is a very fine seed, and is sown on the surface of trays of moist seed compost. It's a good idea to mix the seeds with sand to make it easier. Keep moist with a fine spray. When seedlings are about 5cm tall, plant out about 20cm between each plants.
