Kohl Rabi Purple Delicacy is a popular vegetable in Europe, deep purple skin and white to light green flesh. Great on salads or use in place of turnips in recipe. SOW March to July HARVEST June onwards TYPE Summer and Autumn vegetable WHERE TO SOW: Sow direct into the growing site 2cm deep in rows 30cm apart. WHAT TO DO NEXT: Do not transplant. As soon as large enough to handle, thin the seedlings to 15cm apart. Lift when the size of a tennis ball. HANDY TIP: Makes a pleasant change as a vegetable, slice and fry gently in olive oil or use in place of turnips. Roots must be used young, between golf and tennis ball size.
