Parsnip Guernsey is a heritage variety originally hailing from France, and is often known as 'Half Long' due to its shorter roots. Features broad shoulders and attractive smooth white skin. Taste is excellet and improved after a frost. Can be left in the ground formuch of winter, but lift by late winter.

SOW:   February through May. Do note that parsnip germinates slowly and that later sowings (till May) may be the most successful.

HARVEST:   October to February.

Planting Instructions: Sow in shallow (1cm) drills. Root size is spacing dependent - for small roots space 10cm apart - for larger roots space up to 20cm apart. Parsnip is a long standing, low maintenance, that can be harvested over a long period or all at once.
