Parsnip White Gem is a very reliable variety, producing good crops in adverse soils. Medium sized, wedged in shape, with smooth roots, white skin and excellent resistance to canker.

SOW: February through May. Do note that parsnip germinates slowly and that later sowings (till May) may be the most successful.

HARVEST:   October to February

WHERE TO SOW:

Sow in shallow (1cm) drills. Root size is spacing dependent - for small roots space 10cm apart - for larger roots space up to 20cm apart. Parsnip is long standing, low maintenance, that can be harvested over a long period or all at once.
