WHERE TO SOW:

Sow the seed thinly direct into the growing site 2cm deep in rows 45cm apart. A stone-free tilth is preferable.

WHAT TO DO NEXT:

Do not transplant seedlings. As soon as seedlings appear they should be gradually thinned until plants are 10cm apart. Hoe regularly but ensure you do not damage the crown or the root.

HANDY TIP:  Early sowings can be slow to germinate so a marker can be sown of a quick maturing vegetable such as Radish.

NUTRITIONAL VALUE:  Good source of energy boosting Carbohydrates. High in vitamin C and potassium.
