Radish French Breakfast is one of the most famous varieties, but I have yet to see it eaten first thing in the morning in France. Long roots of red with a white tip.

HARVEST    Roots should be ready to pull about 4 weeks after sowing

WHERE TO SOW:

Sow thinly in shallow drills 1cm deep with 15cm between rows.

WHAT TO DO NEXT:

Radish plants do not require transplanting and, if sown carefully, thinning is not necessary. Sow a few seeds in any spare area for a quick crop.

HANDY TIP:  Sow small patches every few weeks, harvest when no bigger than your thumb. Water regularly during dry periods.

NUTRITIONAL VALUE:  Rich in vitamin C and potassium. Contains beneficial sulphur compounds.
